I worked on this project in my home in Wollongong and at UTS, so I would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of those lands, the Wodi Wodi people and the Gadigal people. The story of The Crow was told by Uncle Greg Simms, who I acknowledge as an Elder and Knowledge Holder as a Gadigal, Dharug, Gundungurra and Yuin man. I also acknowledge Uncle Wes Marne who passed this story onto Uncle Greg and Danièle Hromek as a Budawang woman of the Yuin nation. I value the privilege to work on Country and the importance of rights, respect and recognition when engaging with Indigenous knowledges.

For this project, we were tasked to adapt the story of The Crow, told by Uncle Greg into a kinetic type sequence. I used photographs I took from visiting La Perouse to base my sequence in the location and focussed on the sandstone and the markings made in it to symbolise the crow's markings after being burnt.
