The brief was to explore the ways that two phrases could be manipulated by hand and photographed to create engaging hand generated type results.
The results were to be a curated series of images that explored the quote ‘We will not tolerate design for addiction, deception, or control’ and the word ‘REAL’.
After experimenting with dimension, layering, colour, and texture, my final series has a harsh and bold feel to it, aiming to connect with the meaning of the words that are quite serious and impactful. My type aims for a graphic, dimensional feel stripped of colour for enhanced impact that almost pops out at the viewer and talks directly to them.
