PROJECT 3: Image That Can Change

The image that can change is a moon that goes from being awake during the night, to resting during the daytime. The idea for the moon to be seen like in a personified way and show its life.

Brief: Design a simple form that could change between two states to communicate an idea

Creative code was intimidating initially but became enjoyable once I got the hang of it. I wanted to play with the idea of time and night/daytime. When sketching, I came up with the idea of a moon that has been personified and showing its experiences during different times of day. I came up with having the moon be awake and glowing, surrounded by stars during the nighttime, and resting during the day behind the clouds while the sun takes over. I enjoyed creating an interactive element for the web and experimenting with new image-making technology.
