In the workshop at uni, I experimented with acetate paper, ink, acrylic paint, and LED lighting to explore new ways of creating images and mark-making with type. This exercise allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of how materials can interact to create unique textures and effects. I later applied these skills to inform the design of my poster, where I used photographs as a base and manipulated them digitally to render the images. By inverting the colours, I was able to play with the form and appearance of the visuals, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow. This process helped me develop creative typography and mark-making, transforming the images into expressive, visually compelling elements of the overall design.
