Publication Design

The brief was to typeset an article in the style of a folded publication. My work experimented with finding the balance between abstract letter forms and legibility text.

I intended to design simply ways to spice up ordinary A4 magazine style publication. I began using text as image by building triangular and diagonal shapes using coloumns of text and pull out quotes. Continuing this theme I designed patterns using simple outlined text. Additionally, I used varying thin and wide page sizes to add that spice I mentioned. The end result is a minimal yet elevated, wire bound design.
