Mural: Belonging

The intention was to represent such a vibrant space as Studio 5A using only abstract shapes.

In creating an abstract design, I delved into the history and development of abstracted art, taking inspiration from work such as the geometric style of Islamic art. Given that this art is often painted onto large scale interiors it complimented the size of the mural well. The symmterical composition worked to bring harmony to the space. Similarly, I chose a light- hearted colour scheme to bring a welcoming and fun atmosphere to the studio.
