Hand Generated Type

The hand generated workshop materially experimented with type as image. Using simple tools I was able to manipulate text to form artful design.

After assembling all the materials I needed I began cutting and reassembling the text. In particular, I wove two same pieces of text to create a new pattern and sliced.Then I edited these photographed images in Photoshop by overlaying with colour and gradients. The effect was a kaleidoscope of beautifully distorted type as image.
