An illustrative visual essay that explores disillusionment; the reconciliation between one's ideal and the reality of a place.

My narrative acknowledges the existing beauty in Town Hall before highlighting scenes that people often ignore in that area. These scenes are not ugly, but indicative of larger social and environmental issues that people would rather turn a blind eye to or endorse in order to maintain their ideal sense and place in the city. This essay is a journey through that disillusionment - I encourage you to notice the little things the next time you visit any of these areas.
