Going back to a place I once called “home”

This visual essay explores not feeling a connection to a place due to gentrification. The visual essay follows a person visiting the place they grew up in, to find that everything that they remembered about the place is not there anymore.

This essay argues why gentrification can be harmful to a community and why development for an area should be more communal rather than done for economic gain.
