Project 08 consisted of creating a zine filled with food illustrations.
My zine is a passion project that investigates some of the foods I have eaten when going out with family and friends. The illustrations are depicted in a pixel art style and captures a new way of visualising food as almost an experience.

I shot various photos of the foods I have eaten to allow me to visualise the foods as a series of artworks.
Process of illustrating foods
The illustrating process involved sketching, lining, blocking in the colours, rendering, and adding highlights.
Process of typesetting zine
These three iterations involved changed typefaces, arrangements, and layouts for the design. Overall, I chose the final iteration as the outcome because the labels throughout the zine resemble "price labels" of food products and provide a sense of cohesion.
